About us

Foundations Learning Center is a ministry of Together for Story County, Inc. We were established in Spring 2021 and are a 501(c)(3) entity. Our dream is to see families in our community flourish spiritually, emotionally, and physically - specifically by coming alongside children and families in the area of early childhood education and development.

In 2021, Story County was deemed as a “childcare desert” due to the lack of openings available for children to participate in quality care environments. Additionally, in these “deserts”, poverty-impacted families tend to experience the most difficult time identifying safe and affordable care providers.

We believe we can pull together the right team and the right resources to make a difference in this area!

Toward this end, we have developed a financial model for our center that will allow us to open most of our slots to poverty-impacted families without compromising the quality of care. This is possible due to our status as a not-for-profit entity and the generous contribution of Cornerstone Church to provide the space for our center rent-free.
