Full-time teaching position supporting all classrooms; birth through preschool aged children.

Hours: 8:30a-5:30p typically; may vary due to substitute requests

Description:

This teacher is the floating staff that supports all classrooms throughout the day. They may directly support classroom learning by being an additional adult during hands-on activities or my indirectly support by completing teacher material preparation tasks.

They are the first substitute when teachers request PTO and their schedule adjusts to meet the center's needs. They would substitute in each classroom alongside another full-time teacher and should have a general developmental knowledge of all ages served.

This teacher is eligible for paid time off and healthcare benefits. The position would begin July 29th, 2024.

This teacher must be able to pass state and federal background checks following State of Iowa childcare licensing requirements.

Part-time, less than 20 hours per week

Hours: Afternoons 2:00-6:00pm

Qualifications:

Minimum - 16 years of age

Education: Earned or in the process of earning a high school diploma or GED

Participate in necessary background checks and trainings

Ability to meet physical demands of caring for young children.

Hours: 7a-9a or 3p-6p

Duties:

Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and cutting produce

Portion and package food items as per the requirements

Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas
